Hungarian Wedding – Let’s Go to the Táncház!

I saw a film where I was enchanted not only by the lead characters but also by the magic of Hungarian folk music, dance, folklore, and traditional costumes. Set in the Kalotaszeg region, it remains an eternal experience for me, even with the stark reality of the 1980s depicted. Suffice it to say, as soon as I got home, I started scouring the internet to find out where I could go to a táncház in Szeged. And I found one! What’s more, I managed to bring my husband along (which is a serious achievement and a true credit to the film). A week later, we were already learning one of the most difficult dances—but it didn't matter; it went much more easily than the cha-cha-cha or its 'time step' fifteen years earlier. Don't just read reviews; go see it for yourselves and decide if it was worth the trip to the cinema!
